Giving Back

Every business has a phone number or email which leaves the business to face the request of a donation of some sort, at some point.

And for many of us with brick and mortar doors to knock on, donation requests are more common that you may realize.

While we cannot possibly meet all donation requests and still stay in business, we do our very best to support the community that supports us. We strive for as many positive outcomes as we are able to.

Because of this, our donations cross many community organizations, schools and non-profits.

We do not donate for recognition or even the tax write off.  In fact, this is the very first self public mention we have made of any donations gifted by Just in Time Plumbing.

Our accountant will be pleased with us for making this post!  We tend to forget to keep track because, to us, it’s more about giving back than getting a tax write off.

We truly appreciate our community supporting our business. That’s why we do all that we can to give our support to that same community. Donations are one way that we can.

By sharing what we donate to publicly, we are helping to bring attention to great, local organizations, what they are doing and also their need for the community’s support.

For example, we recently donated an item to the Kings Mountain Historical Museum‘s Annual Raffle. This year was their 17th!  We donated an ADA Toilet with full installation for bidders to bid on.

In hindsight, if we had self-promoted our donation, potentially, more people would have seen that the opportunity existed to bid on not just what we donated, but what other area business donated as well.  This would have collectively helped the Museum draw in more donations which are used to maintain and grow the Museum.

In addition, we’ve donated to:

  • many local church group fundraisers
  • bought tickets for spaghetti dinners and lunches for the team from the Rotary Club and other community organizations
  • supplied shirts for the Robotics team at East Elementary
  • sponsored sports teams with the Upper Cleveland Baseball Club
  • supported the Kings Mountain Touchdown Club
  • donated to the Washington Outreach Ministry  that feeds over 12,000 clients each month
  • donated, sponsored events for CARE, a local animal rescue organization
  • classroom donations
  • purchased countless numbers of candy bars, donuts, cookie dough and other items that the individual students sell for their sports teams and school club fundraisers.
  • and more

Alternate Support

We’ve placed ads in yearbooks because this helps keep the cost of the yearbooks down for students. We’ve placed ads in many local, community publications to show our support in their efforts to grow and serve the community.

We sponsor community events and race teams. We even sponsor our own Just in Time Plumbing Race Team!

Last year, we held our first ever, Customer Appreciation Day and it was a hit! We had a great turn out, great food and great fellowship.

Unfortunately, due to this year’s pandemic we had to cancel. We had hoped to only postpone. But with winter fast approaching, it’s become clear that we need to plan for next year.

The pandemic has not stopped our donating though!

Our most recent donation was for the Silent Auction being held at the Fundraising Golf Tournament for Clifford’s Army Rescue Extravaganza Animal Rescue. This event will take place on November 13th at Deer Brook Golf Club.

We donated the same big ticket item that we donated to the Museum, an ADA Toilet, complete with installation.  Visit their website if you want to learn more on bidding, other items up for bid, playing in the tournament or learning how you can help their organization.

Customers

Still community, but more along the lines of customer support, we have an internal program for our Senior Citizen plumbing customers. Yet another way that Just in Time’s owner, Justin’s heart shines. He created this program.

We’ve expanded our general financing options to include multiple sources for our customers to connect with to pay for larger or unexpected plumbing expenses.

We also offer Senior and Veteran discounts. And we offer free quotes to everyone, no matter the size of the job or project.

This year, more than ever, we’ve been shopping local and shopping small, ordering from local restaurants and supporting other local business owners.

If you are a customer of ours with a small business, let us know! We are in this together.

To sum things up, while our focus is providing unmatched plumbing services, we truly love our community and value each and every customer.
